Stripes — you love ’em or you hate ’em! I LOVE them! Prints, stripes, solids, they’re all fabulous! It’s even better when you mix and match them! This is the time to go crazy with your wardrobe because there’s no real style right now. Sure, boho chic is all the rage but so is timeless fashion, 90’s chokers, acid wash, etc. Right now is your time to experiment with everything that has ever scared you, SERIOUSLY!

Take the Irene Maxi Dress, it is by far my favorite maxi that I’ve seen this year! The reason, you ask? Because it is fun, elegant and timeless! This dress will never go out of style. I promise you, in 10, 15, 30 years you will still see me rocking this dress. Not only because it is a closet must-have but because it is extremely well made. This is quality, my friends, at an affordable price.

The beauty of this is dress is that it’s SUPER forgiving. It doesn’t stretch but it is super flowy. I know some people don’t like that because of the fear of looking pregnant, but the vertical stripes help to ensure a slimming look which also makes you appear taller! {Shoulders back ladies, nobody likes a sloucher!} Maddie, Heather and I are all wearing smalls in this photo. Maddie and Heather can wear an extra small or small depending on the product and I fluctuate between a small and medium. My mother has this dress too and she looks FABULOUS in it, but when I told her to try it on she looked at me like I was crazy. Then she fell in love with it!

Accessorize this dress with some stacked bracelets or a statement necklace. Then add your favorite sandals or wedges. A strapless bra or a bralette are a must for this dress because of the way that it cuts in the front. Trust me! It was a fun 30 minutes trying to rig my non strapless bras to not be seen before seeing The Book of Mormon on Michael’s birthday. And by fun I mean, super annoying and slightly dramatic. I went and bought a new strapless bra the next day!

What do you think about this dress? Would wear it? Would you try it on? Let us know!

xoxo — Dani
